Beauty in the Brokenness

“Beauty in the brokenness” seems to fit the overall title of my life. One can never expect life to be perfect, but I sure didn’t expect my story. The last 5 years of my life have definitely had their peaks and valleys. By the time I turned 18, I had lost two of the most important and influential people in my life. Their absence brought pain, learning, growing, heartache, blessings, and were the cause of the metamorphosis from the person I was, to who I am today. Five years ago, I didn’t appreciate the beauty in my life. I took things like love and time for granted. Today, I live my life attempting to appreciate every moment for exactly what it is; a blessing. Sometimes, I look around the world and feel this stillness; stillness to breathe in the laughter and beauty I’m surrounded by. Life has not been perfect, that’s for sure, but it’s made me the person that writes before you today. My life is spent looking for the goodness in every moment, because like I said before, if you look for beauty, you will always find it. This is beauty in the brokenness.
